Kent has more than 25 years of experience providing information technology, intellectual property, internet, ecommerce, privacy, telecommunications, and corporate and commercial legal services to clients. He has gained his experience working at both top-tier and mid-tier law firms. He is also a former President of the Victorian Society for Computers & the Law.
He has extensive experience at law firm partner level providing legal services to clients in the areas of IT, IP, internet, ecommerce, privacy, telecommunications, and corporate and commercial law. He has provided legal services to clients ranging from ASX top 20 national and international companies, and large federal and state government departments, to SMEs and startups. He has also worked in several private and public sector roles as an in-house legal adviser.
Kent regularly presents seminars and publishes articles in the areas of IT, IP, internet, ecommerce, privacy, telecommunications, and corporate and commercial law. He has a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours), a Bachelor of Science (Information Technology) and a Master of Laws (Communications, Intellectual Property and Privacy Law) from the University of Melbourne.
He is a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand, Victorian Society for Computers & the Law and the Law Institute of Victoria.
Leanne has more than 10 years of experience negotiating, drafting and managing IT contracts on behalf of IT companies for the supply of IT products and services to private and public sector clients.
She has particular experience negotiating, drafting and managing software licensing and support agreements, hardware maintenance agreements and escrow agreements.
Leanne has negotiated and managed IT contracts for the supply of IT products and services to federal, state and local government bodies. She also has negotiated and managed IT contracts for the supply of IT products and services to private sector organisations ranging from large corporations to non-profit organisations.
She has a Bachelor of Science (with Honours).
